Courses "Fundamentals of aircraft engineering", KPI, Kyiv

Profile, content, purpose

Kyiv courses "Fundamentals of aircraft engineering" — a joint dual training program of Progresstech-Ukraine and KPI named after Igor Sikorsky. The courses are intended for preparation for engineering work of master's and senior undergraduate students, as well as graduates of technical higher education institutions of Ukraine.

The curriculum introduces students to aircraft design (including airframe design elements, on-board systems, and cabin interior), spatial layout of electrical system elements, fundamentals of aerodynamics, and aircraft manufacturing technology. The trainees also get practical skills in using the software product of the new generation CATIA V6 — a complex system of automated design and engineering analysis, which is used by leading aircraft manufacturers.

Training is free of charge.

According to the results of the intermediate and credit tests, the graduates of the courses receive certificates.

Teaching is based on the standards of modern engineering and provides project participants with a noticeable advantage in the competition on the labor market in the field of intellectual services.

Educational and methodological base

The Center for Dual Education of KPI named after Igor Sikorskyi and Progresstech-Ukraine (previously - Joint Educational Center of KPI and Progresstech-Ukraine), Kyiv.

Cyclicality, terms, format

Enrollment for courses is carried out twice a year, in spring and autumn. Applications are accepted in March and September, respectively. Classes start in about a month. They are held 4 times a week in the evening (from 4:00 p.m.) for 2 hours.

The total duration of training is 2 months.

Studying is carried out using the remote training management system LMS (Learning Management System). The educational process ends with the credit (final) testing of students.

Course teachers

Classes are conducted by leading engineers and corporate trainers of the Progressech-Ukraine company and certified teachers of technical universities.

To enter, you need:

  • submit an application for participation in the program (below on this page during recruitment, the corresponding button is activated);

  • pass an entrance test on the basics of solid mechanics, mechanical engineering technology, engineering graphics and English language.
