PERSONAL DATA PROCESSING POLICY

General Provisions

Progresstech-Ukraine’s policy on personal data processing (hereinafter, the “Policy”) is issued in accordance with the current Law of Ukraine “On Protection of Personal Data” № 2297-VI of June 1, 2010.

This Policy applies to any personal information that Progresstech-Ukraine may receive from individuals and legal entities in the course of partnership, business interaction or while using the website https://progresstech.ua.

The Policy also applies to the terms of use of cookies, which serve primarily to recognize a website visitor’s preferences and record their user preferences. Such files identify the user of the site, but do not reveal their identity.

In some cases, the personal and contact information of users of https://progresstech.ua is also protected by reCAPTCHA and Google’s Privacy Policy.

In this document, the following terms are used with the subsequent meaning:

website - a set of interconnected structured digital information materials (texts, graphics, audiovisual), as well as computer programs and databases that ensure their availability on the Internet at the network address https://progresstech.ua;

personal data owner - a natural or legal person who determines the purpose of processing personal data, establishes the composition of these data, and the procedures for processing them;

identified individual person - an individual person who can be identified directly or indirectly using identifying information or one or more factors characterizing the physical, physiological, genetic, psychological, socio-economic, or cultural identity of an individual person;

depersonalization of personal data - actions as a result of which, without the use of additional information, it is impossible to determine whether personal data belongs to a particular user or another personal data subject;

processing of personal data - any action or set of actions, such as collection, registration, accumulation, storage, adaptation, modification, restoration, use and distribution (sale, transfer), depersonalization, destruction of personal data, including using information (automated) systems;

personal data - information about an individual who has already been identified or can be identified definitely and unambiguously;

user - a visitor to the website https://progresstech.ua;

recipient of personal data - an individual or legal entity, including a third party to whom personal data are provided;

controller of personal data - an individual or legal entity who is authorized by law or empowered by the owner of personal data to process the data;

consent of the personal data subject - voluntary consent of an individual (subject to their awareness) to the processing of their personal data in accordance with the articulated purpose of its processing, expressed in a form that allows a conclusion about the user’s consent;

personal data subject - an individual (including a user) whose personal data are subject to processing;

third party - any person, except for the subject, owner, or controller of personal data and the Human Rights Ombudsman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, to whom the owner or controller transfers personal data.

Progresstech-Ukraine as a subject of relations related to personal data

Progresstech-Ukraine is the owner of personal data obtained directly from the personal data subject. Progresstech-Ukraine can also act as the controller of personal data received from another person who assumes all the risks associated with possible claims from the personal data subjects.

Personal data processed by Progresstech-Ukraine

Progresstech-Ukraine receives and processes various categories of personal data, which, among other things, may contain the name, IP-address, e-mail address, telephone number, information about the education and professional activities of candidates for participation in Progresstech-Ukraine training programs and applicants for vacant positions in the company.

Progresstech-Ukraine also uses anonymized data about website visitors (including cookies), which are processed using the Google Analytics software package and other Internet statistics services.

Purpose of processing personal data

For Progresstech-Ukraine, the priority goals of receiving and processing personal data, including cookies, are:

  • strengthening the security of and preventing disruptions in the operation of the corporate website, ensuring effective verification of the identity of the user who interacts with the site, and establishing reliable user feedback;
  • organizing through the website recruitment for vacant positions in Progresstech-Ukraine and selecting students for the company’s engineering education programs;
  • improving the user experience, in particular, identifying user preferences by analyzing the frequency of visits to sections and individual pages of the website, optimizing its content and functionality, speeding-up user access to the user’s priority information

Legal basis for processing personal data

Progresstech-Ukraine processes personal data only if the personal data subject provides consent to processing the data.

The user can provide consent directly on the website https://progresstech.ua by completing and sending the appropriate feedback forms or registration forms, or submitting an application.

Anonymized data is processed by Progresstech-Ukraine with the consent of the user and in the event that this is allowed by the settings of the user’s web browser (storage of cookies and use of JavaScript technology are enabled).

There is no time limit for processing personal data. The user can at any time revoke their consent to the processing of personal data by sending an e-mail to Progresstech-Ukraine to ukr@progresstech.ua with the subject line “I withdraw my consent to the processing of personal data.”

Protecting the privacy of personal data during processing

The security of personal data processed by Progresstech-Ukraine is ensured through legal, organizational, and technical tools to fully comply with the requirements of national legislation in the field of personal data protection.

Progresstech-Ukraine takes, in particular, all possible measures to prevent unauthorized persons from accessing the subject’s personal data (including the user).

Personal data will never be disclosed to third parties without the subject’s consent, except in compliance with applicable law.

Progresstech-Ukraine transfers personal data to the territory of a foreign country, to the authority of a foreign country, to a foreign individual or legal entity only with the personal data subject’s explicit consent to transfer the data.

Miscellaneous

If there are any inaccuracies in the personal data, the user can update them on their own by sending a corresponding email to ukr@progresstech.ua with the subject line “Updating personal data.”

The user can receive any clarifications regarding the processing of their personal data by contacting Progresstech-Ukraine at the e-mail address ukr@progresstech.ua.
