Designed with Progresstech Ukraine participation, Boeing 777X made its first flight

The first 777X jetliner flight was a success. Progresstech Ukraine's engineers took part in aircraft design and production support for the newest member of Boeing’s market-leading widebody family.

On 25 January 2020, the first of dedicated 777X flight test airplanes took off from Paine Field aerodrome, located near the Boeing production facility in Everett, Washington, USA. The almost 4-hour flight over Washington state marked the start of the Boeing 777X flight test program for the world’s largest family of commercial twin-engine aircraft.

Boeing officially announced the 777X program in fall 2013. In 2016, the Progresstech engineering team began working on the design, stress analysis, and production support of the 777X airframe structure.

The 777X is equipped with the most powerful and energy-efficient engine in the history of aviation. The airplane has a 4th-generation composite wing with folding raked wingtips, which optimizes the wingspan.

The 777X’s applied technologies ensure reduced fuel use, emissions, and operating costs compared to current competing airplanes.
In addition, the 777X family will inherit the latest 787 Dreamliner technologies, including more advanced onboard life support and flight control systems, a unique interior, and improved ergonomics.

Cooperation between Boeing and our engineers started in 2014.

Four years later, in April 2018, Progresstech Ukraine received Boeing’s Performance Excellence Award at the global supplier conference. This is one of the top annual corporate awards that Boeing presents to its best suppliers of goods and services. For example, nominees for the 2018 Performance Excellence Award were selected among the 13,000 most active Boeing contractors from 57 countries.

Today, Progresstech Ukraine’s engineers are involved in all Boeing Commercial Airplanes programs, including design and manufacture of the newest aircraft.
