Progresstech Ukraine is one of the Ukrainian enterprises with the most effective HR management. At the end of 2021, Maksym Gladskyi, Progresstech Ukraine Deputy Director for Human Resources, was included in the Ukrainian rating of the Top 30 Best HR Directors, according to the popular TOP-100 Ratings of the Largest.
The rating nominees are ranked according to their impact on enterprises’ finances and corporate culture, as well as in correlation with the effectiveness of HR projects for recruiting, training, and motivating staff.
In particular, the rating took into account the continuous growth in demand for Progresstech Ukraine’s aerospace industry services, despite the global decline in aviation and related industries due to COVID-19.
“The aviation market, influenced by the pandemic, changed the landscape and urgently needed new services. Some projects were frozen and others appeared. This required the prompt involvement of specialists with new competencies,” explains Maksym Gladskyi, company’s HR Director. “Given the market turbulence, Progresstech Ukraine had the opportunity to fully use an important competitive advantage – the ability to respond flexibly to changes in the market environment. We made the most of this opportunity. The company has successfully confirmed its ability to quickly form effective engineering teams to work in new international projects of any complexity and focus.”
The corporate multi-level educational ecosystem created in Progresstech Ukraine is the company’s main HR tool for recruiting engineering personnel, providing them with additional training, and staffing new project teams.
It includes educational programs and trainings:
● preparing university students and graduates for engineering work;
● targeted training of master’s students for the company in a program certified by the European Network for Accreditation of Engineering Education;
● additional in-depth training for new engineers and pre-project trainings;
● adaptation of new employees;
● inter-project trainings, continuous professional development of personnel.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, Progresstech Ukraine modernized the entire range of its training programs. The company created a corporate virtual learning environment for remote engineering training in addition to the traditional forms of offline classes.
Using the corporate educational ecosystem, in 2020, Progresstech Ukraine quickly restored staffing trends to fulfill urgent orders from aviation industry leaders in order to correct deformations in the aviation market. Within the two partial COVID years, the company’s engineering staff increased by more than a quarter and surpassed the symbolic 1,000 mark.
