In 2021, the number of engineers and programmers at Progresstech Ukraine increased by 16%. And during the two COVID years, 2020 and 2021, the company increased the staff in the engineering and IT departments by 30.4% - up to 1,085 people. During the coronavirus crisis, Progresstech Ukraine protected personnel from the pandemic, ensured high productivity, and expanded participation in major international aerospace programs.
The company prevented outbreaks of infection in its offices by providing vaccinations for employees, introducing strict anti-epidemic protocols, applying new teamwork procedures, and organizing safe transportation for personnel to work and home. Progresstech Ukraine also expanded health insurance and financial support programs for employees, taking into account the risks of COVID-19.
At the same time, despite the quarantine restrictions, the company managed to maintain an efficient business rhythm. It quickly adapted to the changes in the structure of aviation traffic due to the pandemic, including the massive market demand for reconfiguring and renewing the global commercial fleet. Progresstech Ukraine, in particular, significantly increased the scope of work to convert existing passenger aircraft models into cargo aircraft. The company’s project teams also expanded their participation in the preparation program for serial production of a new generation of wide-body aircraft, including cargo modification.
In 2020-2021, Progresstech Ukraine services were in demand to develop the main components of aircraft avionics, in particular, communication facilities with ground air traffic management systems and onboard electronic navigation and flight control systems.
In addition, due to the active development of digitalizing processes in civil aviation, the company now has many more orders for software solutions based on artificial intelligence technologies.
