Progresstech Ukraine has reinstated existing and launched new programs during the war to train students and graduates of Ukrainian universities for engineering work in the aerospace industry.
In particular, two of the most popular training programs in the field of aeronautical engineering were resumed in March:
● The 8-month engineer’s development program Airframe Structural Design and Sizing, which is moderated by experts from Progresstech Ukraine’s Kharkiv Educational Center. The program started last fall, but was suspended due to the threat of occupation in Kharkiv in the initial phase of the Russian Federation’s armed aggression against Ukraine.
● The traditional cyclical 3-month engineering training courses Fundamentals of Aircraft Engineering at the Joint Training Center of Ihor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute (KPI) and Progresstech Ukraine.
Distance learning opened access to both programs for students and graduates of technical universities from any region of Ukraine.
In addition, in partnership with the National Aviation University (NAU, Kyiv), Progresstech Ukraine launched a new educational project this spring: 4-month Aviation Service Engineering courses.
Also in May 2022, the company hosted KPI students for pre-graduation internships.
Meanwhile, KPI and Progresstech Ukraine are preparing to announce the next enrollment in a key joint dual training program. It focuses on targeted master’s degree training for the company and is certified by the European Network for Accreditation of Engineering Education.
In general, Progresstech Ukraine intends to involve new KPI departments in the partnership this year. The company’s goal is to significantly expand the range of joint dual education programs with KPI to train qualified engineers of various profiles for the aerospace industry.
