In 2023 , Progresstech Ukraine added more than 130 new employees to the engineering team. They strengthened a number of work areas, in particular, in analyzing strength, design, production technology, and operational support of aircraft. This was announced by the director of Progresstech Ukraine Oleg Uruskyi, summing up the past year during a meeting with the company’s staff.
The head of Progresstech Ukraine noted that in 2023, the average monthly pace of recruitment for engineering vacancies in the company exceeded the previous year’s recruiting trends under martial law by almost 80%. The high indicators are due to the combination of actively searching for qualified personnel on the market and the deepening cooperation with universities to train professional aviation engineers for the company.
Intensively replenishing the staff in combination with an effective corporate personnel training system enabled Progresstech Ukraine to prepare and attract many more engineers to work on international aerospace projects. Last year, their share of the total number of employees in projects significantly exceeded the planned indicator.
In his introductory speech, the head of Progresstech Ukraine also congratulated his colleagues on the 10th anniversary of the start of cooperation with one of the aviation industry leaders, Boeing Corporation. The companies concluded an agreement in fall 2013, and Ukrainian engineers began working on the first orders from Boeing already at the beginning of the next year.
Long-term cooperation with a leading manufacturer of aerospace equipment greatly stimulated Progresstech Ukraine development. Over 10 years, the number of employees in the company’s engineering department increased 6 times, to almost 1,000 people.
Development partnerships with Boeing have not been hindered by either episodic problems with aircraft production or sporadic crises in the aviation industry. Neither the COVID-19 pandemic nor the Russian Federation’s full-scale armed aggression interrupted the partnership.
Today, Progresstech Ukraine is the largest service provider for Boeing in Central and Eastern Europe. The Ukrainian company’s engineers participate in all programs for developing, designing, and technologically supporting production and service maintenance of the global civil Boeing fleet.
